Lochinvar’s Scott Mason has been elected as chair of CIBSE Patrons taking over from Nick Mead.
Scott has been involved with the CIBSE Patrons for a number of years and is passionate about the organisations aim to provide a sustainable platform to improve the recruitment and retention of the next generation of industry professionals.
CIBSE Patrons is made up of a group of businesses representing a cross section of the industry. They collaborate to give financial, technical and moral backing to a wide range of initiatives led by the institution.
Scott joined Lochinvar back in 2010 and has held numerous roles across the business both in a technical and sales capacity. He is currently Southern Regional Sales Manager, a position he has held since 2019.
During the early part of his career Scott was runner up for the CIBSE ASHRAE Graduate of the Year in 2016, he was the first finalist who joined the industry through the vocational route. Scott has played an active part in helping promote CIBSE and is passionate about its core visions and values.
When asked about his appointment as Chair of the organisation Scott said, “It’s an honour to have been elected as Chair of CIBSE Patrons. CIBSE has played a pivotal role in my career to date and i have experienced first-hand the benefit of their excellent work.
Patrons have so much to offer. There is a wealth of knowledge and expertise that can be utilised to benefit the wider industry. I am focused on creating a forum for networking and knowledge sharing and investing in the future talent needed to drive our industry forward.”
