Amicus High Temperature Air-Source Heat Pump

Amicus HT air to water heat pumps are available in both 2-pipe or 4-pipe versions, they can provide hot water at up to 63˚C giving a highly efficient low carbon method of supplying domestic hot water in both existing and new build properties. Amicus 4-Pipe models can supply heating and cooling simultaneously using heat reclaim to give very high efficiencies of up to 900%.

Amicus HT models are available in three versions and four configurations:

Standard, low noise and ultra low noise, all versions are available in any of the four configurations below except standard versions which are available in 2pipe versions only.

Heating or Domestic hot water only-2 pipe heating only (HH models)

The standard 2 pipe model should be used, these are optimized in heating mode to achieve a high efficiency even in poor ambient conditions, they can operate at flow temperatures up to 65°C and in external air temperatures between -20°C and +40°C. this would enable the heat pump to continue to supply Domestic hot water even during extreme heat conditions. If supplying both heating and domestic hot water the heat pump has two different setpoints and will work on domestic hot water priority. The heat pump will activate an external 3 port valve to supply DHW via a specially sized and selected plate heat exchanger.

Heating or cooling-2 pipe heating or cooling (RV models)

If there is no requirement for both heating and cooling simultaneously then a HTRV model should be chosen, these units can supply heating during cooler months and then cooling in warmer weather. The HTRV eliminates the need for separate chillers or air conditioning units, saving plant space and capital cost.

Heating and cooling simultaneously-4 pipe heating and cooling

When there is a requirement for both heating and cooling simultaneously such as where a data centre is present or in large buildings with a north- south split then the HT4PU model should be chosen.

DHW and cooling simultaneously-4 pipe heating and cooling

If there is a requirement for both DHW  and  cooling simultaneously then model HT4PS should be chosen, this model can also supply heating but not at the same time as cooling.

Versions are available in standard, low noise and ultra low noise providing a heat pump for every project.
