Lochinvar products have been providing energy efficient hot water and heating solutions for many Commercial and Industrial applications in the UK since 1976. In recent years our product offering has been expanded to include a range of Integrated Renewable Solutions such as solar and heat pump technology based products.

Our products are known for their reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness. Although our sales concentrates in the UK and Ireland we work closely with our European Headquarters in the Netherlands and US based parent company.

Overall responsibility:

To drive the specified sales growth of our Heat Pump and chiller ranges, Packaged Solutions and Solar Thermal across the specified area. Working in conjunction with the External and Internal sales team to ensure the area meets its objectives. 

The role covers the Northern territory where frequent and extensive travel will be required including weekly regular overnight stays and on occasion visits to the office in Banbury.  

Key tasks include:

  • Identify and develop heat pump opportunities and relationships with key consultants. 
  • Advise, develop, and design solutions to help drive through the sale of a specification
  • To grow current and to generate new business with established consultants
  • To collaborate with the External Sales Team to deliver Lochinvar specifications to order
  • To develop an excellent level of knowledge on Lochinvar Heat Pump products and their application and to be able to deliver that knowledge to the consultant base
  • To develop a very good level of knowledge on competitors and their products
  • To have a good understanding of general Industry/market matters and current applicable regulations 
  • Continuously maintain the CRM database, including Accounts, Contacts, Leads and Opportunities, with current and detailed Opportunity knowledge and updating of any  specifications that Lochinvar may have
  • To ensure that customer-related issues are handled efficiently and effectively working with other departments and colleagues where necessary
  • To work with the Business Development Manager – Heat Pump Technology to deliver specified projects
  • To deliver a very good level of innovative and value engineering knowledge 
  • Carry out and deliver informative and well-presented CPD’s, attending industry and corporate events
  • To self-learn and constantly strive to improve knowledge 

Skill and Competence Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within Commercial HVAC or associated Industry 
  • Proven sales experience in ideally Heat Pump Technology in Commercial systems, but including any other relevant experience such as chillers would be advantageous
  • A good level of IT knowledge including standard Microsoft Office packages and ERP type software
  • Confident presenting skills
  • The ability to work proactively, independently and to manage and plan time effectively on simultaneous multiple projects 
  • Develop and maintain a customer first attitude and approach
  • Ability to build new and long-lasting business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
