There’s a lot to consider when designing and implementing an R290 Air Source Heat Pump system. The usual considerations around space, user demand and requirements will play a significant factor, just like with any system, however as we introduce natural refrigerants such as R290 (Propane), this adds additional considerations. Propane is considered a highly flammable refrigerant, which means risks need to be mitigated and this is achieved through a number of factors.
